Agent workspace · Verdent AI, Inc.
Verdent
Closed-source desktop app and IDE extension where an agent splits a goal into tasks, runs parallel workers in git worktrees and reports back; sold by monthly credit plans with a short free trial.
Verdent review
Verdent is a commercial desktop app and IDE extension where an agent breaks a goal into tasks and runs parallel workers in isolated git worktrees. We read the vendor's site and pricing page in October 2026. We did not run an independent test.
Who it is for
Developers who want a paid, closed-source agent manager on macOS or Windows and are comfortable with credit-based pricing.
What stands out
The docs describe workers that run in parallel with progress on a board, each in its own workspace built on git worktrees. Git 2.20 or later is recommended. MCP servers can be set up globally in a file under the home folder or per project.
Bring-your-own-key is documented for Anthropic, OpenAI and OpenRouter keys. The docs do not restrict it by plan. Smart Suggestions and automatic compression do not work with BYOK keys.
The download page offers version 2.17.3 for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows x64. VS Code and JetBrains versions exist, and credits work across the desktop app and VS Code. The changelog shows v2.17.0 on 14 October 2026.
Where it falls short
- The code is proprietary, with no public repository.
- We saw no permanent free plan, only a trial with 100 credits.
- Credits come with a limited-time 50% bonus, and some limits are marked Promo and may change. Yearly prices are not listed.
- The docs say Linux is not supported. We found no web version or phone app. Slack and Telegram are the only remote routes the homepage mentions.
- The homepage names no models.
Price
There is no standing free plan on the pricing page. A free trial includes 100 credits; the site's code mentions 7 days. Paid plans are billed monthly: Lite $5, Starter $19 (160 credits plus bonus), Pro $59 (500 credits plus bonus) and Max $179 (1,500 credits plus bonus). Teams is $20 per user per month, and Enterprise is custom. Top-ups run from 340 credits for $20 to 3,400 for $200. Seen 28 October 2026.
Verdict
Choose it if you want a polished commercial agent manager with worktree isolation and are fine paying for credits. Look elsewhere if you need open source, Linux, a permanent free tier or a phone app.
