Nezha
Small desktop app for running several Claude Code and Codex sessions across projects, with a built-in terminal, session replay, git and worktree support, a light code editor and local skill management.
Nezha review
Nezha is a small free desktop app for running several Claude Code and Codex sessions across different projects. It adds a built-in terminal, session history, git and a light editor. We read the vendor's site and GitHub pages in October 2026. We did not run an independent test.
Who it is for
Developers who already use Claude Code or Codex locally, work on several repositories, and want one free app to keep track of the sessions.
What stands out
A project sidebar lets you jump between repositories and their agent sessions. The README says the app raises a system notification and a badge when an agent needs input. Finished sessions are shown as a readable transcript that you can resume.
Git is built in, including AI-written commit messages and a review view. Git worktrees are supported, and a code and Markdown editor is included. Skills are managed centrally through symlinks.
Installers on the v0.5.0 release page (17 September 2026) cover macOS on Apple Silicon and Intel, Windows (x64 and arm64), and Linux as deb and rpm. The code is under GPL-3.0, and we read the licence file. It is a copyleft licence, which matters if you plan to build on it.
Where it falls short
- Only Claude Code and Codex are named as agents, and both must be installed first.
- The macOS build is unsigned. The README tells you to run a terminal command to clear the quarantine flag.
- It is version 0.5.0, maintained by one person, with no release since 17 September.
- The README does not describe SSH or remote machines, MCP, or a mobile app. We treat those as not verified.
- The vendor site rendered no readable text for us, so we relied on the README and releases.
Price
No pricing was seen. The app and source are free under GPL-3.0 (seen 28 October 2026). You supply your own Claude Code or Codex access.
Verdict
Choose it if you run Claude Code or Codex on your own machine across several projects and want a small free tracker with git built in. Look elsewhere if you need other agent CLIs, remote SSH sessions or a phone companion.
