Official site

Happier review

Happier runs coding agent CLIs on your own machines and lets you start and steer sessions from desktop, web, iOS or Android. It is MIT licensed and free. We read the vendor's site and GitHub pages in October 2026. We did not run an independent test.

Who it is for

Developers who want an open-source way to run agent sessions on several machines and reach them from a phone or browser.

What stands out

The site lists 13 built-in agents, including Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cursor, Gemini, Copilot and Pi. A custom ACP backend adds other CLIs.
Each session can use its own git worktree, chosen per session, or the folder you are in. The README says you can run as many sessions as you like and pick the machine, folder, agent and model for each. The command `happier mcp serve` lets other MCP hosts create sessions and send messages.

Clients cover a desktop app and CLI for macOS, Windows and Linux, a web app, and iOS and Android apps. The site describes end-to-end encryption and a self-hostable relay. Desktop release v0.2.19 was published on 23 October 2026. The repository showed 2,088 stars on 29 October 2026.

Price and licence

The site says the CLI, apps, desktop app, web app and relay are free, with no seat count, trial or feature gate. You still pay for your own agent subscriptions. The LICENCE file is MIT, copyright "Happy Coder Contributors".

The project it grew from is Happy. For a desktop-first worktree manager, see Orca.
