CodeNomad
Desktop and browser front end for OpenCode V2 with multi-project windows and tabs, nested sessions, git worktree selection, MCP connection management and remote access, including phone pairing.
CodeNomad review
CodeNomad is a free desktop and browser workspace for OpenCode V2, licensed MIT. Desktop builds cover macOS, Windows and Linux. We read the vendor's site and GitHub pages in October 2026. We did not run an independent test.
Who it is for
OpenCode users who want a desktop or browser front end with worktrees, several projects and remote access.
What stands out
Several projects stay open with per-window tabs, and sessions can be nested, forked and searched across long histories. You can create and select git worktrees and move a session with its sub-sessions.
The app manages MCP connections and plugins. Remote access works through a self-hosted server with password and HTTPS. Remote Control pairs a phone or another computer through a relay, without opening ports.
Desktop builds come as Electron and Tauri packages for macOS on Intel and Apple Silicon, Windows x64 and Linux x64. A browser server is started with an npx command. The app also offers voice input, a command palette and a file panel. Version 1.0.0 was released on 24 October 2026, and the repository showed about 2,650 stars.
Where it falls short
- It supports OpenCode V2 only, version 2.1.2 or newer. OpenCode V1 and other agents are not supported.
- Version 1.0.0 is days old, and development builds are published daily.
- Linux builds are tested on Ubuntu 24.04 only.
- We saw no standalone mobile app. Phone access goes through Remote Control.
Price and licence
No price is stated. The code is MIT-licensed (seen 29 October 2026).
Alternatives
To run OpenCode itself, see OpenCode. For a desktop app that supports many agent CLIs, see Orca.
