+ strengths
- Same TOML-configured terminal on BSD, Linux, macOS and Windows (Windows needs ConPTY, build 1809+)
- Vi mode, scrollback search and regex hints for keyboard-driven selection and link opening
- Multi-window mode runs several windows in one process to save resources
! weak points
- Tabs and splits are intentionally not provided; the FAQ points users to a window manager or tmux
- No SSH connection management of any kind; it only hosts a shell where you run ssh
- Config file is not created by default and the project describes itself as beta-level
~/who it is for
- best for
- Users who want a lean terminal and already handle layouts with tmux or a tiling window manager.
- look elsewhere if
- Anyone who wants built-in tabs, splits, saved SSH hosts or a GUI settings screen.
