AionUi
Open-source desktop app that detects installed CLI agents such as Claude Code and Codex and runs them in parallel sessions, plus a built-in agent, a leader/teammate team mode, scheduled tasks, and WebUI or chat-bot remote access.
AionUi review
AionUi is a free desktop app that detects installed CLI coding agents and runs them in parallel sessions, next to its own built-in agent. It supports macOS, Windows and Linux and is Apache-2.0 licensed. We read the vendor's GitHub pages in October 2026. We did not run an independent test.
Who it is for
Users who want one free app to drive several CLI agents, schedule runs, and reach them from a browser or chat app.
What stands out
The README says AionUi auto-detects installed CLI tools and lists about two dozen. They include Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor Agent, OpenCode, Goose and Kimi CLI. Sessions run side by side with independent context.
Team mode lets a leader agent split a task and hand parts to teammate agents running in parallel. It uses a built-in team MCP server and a shared task board. MCP tools can also be managed in one place for all agents.
For remote use, a WebUI opens from a phone or another computer, with QR code or password login. Bots for Telegram, Lark, DingTalk and WeChat are described. Scheduled tasks support cron, fixed intervals and one-off runs.
The README lists macOS 10.15 or later, Windows 10 or later, and Ubuntu 18.04 or later. The repository showed 33,857 stars on 29 October 2026. The latest GitHub release was v2.2.2 on 9 September 2026.
Price and licence
The README says "Free & Open Source" (seen 29 October 2026). The licence file is the standard Apache License 2.0. We could not read the official website, which loads only through JavaScript.
Where it falls short
- Much of the README covers office-document assistants and general chat, not coding workflow.
- We saw no git worktree isolation. Team agents share the same folder.
- The GitHub release page says installers are no longer published there, while the README still points to Releases.
- Price and download details could not be checked on the official site.
- No native mobile app was described, only the WebUI and chat bots.
Alternatives
For worktree-per-task isolation, see Orca.
Facts: platforms, price and licence
- platforms
- macOSWindowsLinuxREADME system requirements: macOS 10.15+, Windows 10+, Ubuntu 18.04+ / Debian 10+ / Fedora 32+. Also offers a WebUI mode reachable from a phone or browser. The website is a JavaScript-only page that could not be read; platform data is from the GitHub README.
- price
- FreeREADME states 'Free & Open Source' (seen 2026-10-29). The built-in agent needs your own API key or a CLI agent login. Website pricing could not be checked.

AionUi strengths
- Apache-2.0 licensed with source on GitHub; desktop builds for macOS, Windows and Linux
- Auto-detects installed CLI agents and lists about two dozen, including Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor Agent and OpenCode
- Team mode has a leader agent delegate subtasks to teammates running in parallel through a built-in MCP server
- Remote access through a browser WebUI, and Telegram, Lark, DingTalk and WeChat bots, plus cron-style scheduled tasks
AionUi weak points
- Broad scope: much of the README covers office-document assistants and general chat rather than coding-agent workflow
- No git worktree isolation was described; team-mode agents share the same folder
- GitHub release page says installers are no longer published there and points to aionui.com, while the README still says to download from Releases
- The official website is a JavaScript-only page, so price and download details could not be verified there
- Part of the backend lives in a separate AionCore repository, and its licence was not checked here
Who AionUi is for
